Manufacturing plants located in wooded setting can hold a certain charm to them, the co-existence of nature and machinery. One day we got a call that the Tranter plate-frame heat exchanger was not working properly. A quick investigation revealed that the cooling tower water was not delivering water at its design temp. It was too warm. So we decided to take our investigation to the rooftop, whereupon we discovered the intake screen for the cooling fan was caked with Cottonwood fluffs and thus adding another step in the cooling tower preventative maintenance procedures.
