In 1991, I started my career as a machinist manufacturing pumps for a pump repair facility. After cross-training as a pump mechanic within that facility, I went from being a greenhorn in the field to becoming a fine-tuned expert in rotating equipment. In an effort to share my knowledge and expertise industry-wide, I decided to open my own rotating equipment repair facility.
After much success, and many learning curves, I decided to take my career to the next level and fulfill a position as a Facility Manager at one of the largest pump companies in the world. In this role, I was able to share my knowledge and passions with others through training and development, while also directing all facets of operations.
In the end, and as I approached my 30th year in the industry, I realized that it was time to take my collective experience and years of knowledge to finally settle into a role that focuses on the customer, and thus, positively impacting the industry. This past year, in 2021, I joined Great Lakes Pump and I love that not only am I able to assist customers every day, but I am able to work with the nicest and most experienced professionals. I am so grateful to be a part of this team and hope to continue to use my knowledge and expertise to honor and build upon the company’s mission.
