I've spent the majority of my career (20+ years) as an Engineer in the metal cutting and filtration industries. As an R&D engineer my focus was on developing new standard equipment. Some highlights include developing the pump back strategy adopted by Ford Motor Company and writing the current filtration specifications for filtering transmission fluid adopted by Ford, GM, and Chrysler.

At GLP, I use this technical experience to deliver engineered solutions to customer challenges. I'm enjoying working with the knowledgeable and enthusiastic group of people here at GLP.

Unique Experiences

I will never forget incredible experience I had during the 2 months I lived in India working on the Ford Engine program.

One of the most difficult applications I’ve come across was the 6R transmission fluid hot oil test stand filtration skid. To provide clean oil (ISO 18/15) within spec, considering the emulsified additives, a new approach to filtration had to be developed. The resulting filtration system ensured the contents of the oil did not get striped out.

I once bet my job against my design. During a design review with the customer, in an effort to convey the amount of confidence I had in the design, I agreed to resign if it failed. Fortunately, my design concept was proven and my employment continued!

One thing I try to keep in mind is that everyone can use a hand now and again. Helping others has always brought me nothing but positive associations.
